Gen Alpha's Top Brands are Digital

You have to know your audience to stay relevant. For people with the age and responsibility of spending marketing dollars, it's particularly challenging to know what the youngest generations are delighted by.

Insights consultancy Beano Brain released their latest ranking of the 100 “coolest brands” among U.S. Gen Alpha (ages 7-14) showing YouTube and Netflix holding the top two spots, followed by Nike, Target, and Sour Patch Kids, with Nintendo, Oreo, Chick-fil-A, Amazon, and Roblox rounding out the top 10. The list reveals how kids are shifting from toys to digital entertainment, snacks, and retail experiences — only four toy brands made the top 50, with LEGO the only one in the top 15, boosted by a Fortnite collaboration. Beauty is also a big category: Sephora ranked 59th overall and 11th among girls, with e.l.f., Drunk Elephant, and Sol de Janeiro also breaking into the top 100.
