Rung for Women Advances Women in Tech Careers

Did you know the St. Louis region has over 300 million square feet of industrial space, which is twice the size of Puerto Rico? It’s an important stat for our business community, one that is projected to grow along with the rise of e-commerce, manufacturing, and warehousing.

The visionary team at Rung for Women, which works to ensure their members have a variety of experiences that position them for stable, high-paying careers, is capitalizing on this insight.

Through a partnership with Southwestern Illinois College, Rung women are receiving their forklift certification training. All expenses are covered.

“Our members are adventurous. They’re bold. They’re moving into spaces that aren’t traditionally filled by women. Rungsupports their growth by making sure they have what they need to succeed in new careers that can pay them what they’re worth,” said Leslie Gill, president of Rung for Women.
